My Story

Hi, I am David Hall

U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

I served nearly 14 years as a United States Marine before moving into the container industry. The Corps taught me that details matter, that commitments are kept, and that you do not leave someone hanging when they are counting on you.

Delivery Geography in Arkansas

Arkansas divides into highlands in the northwest, where the Ozarks, the Arkansas River Valley and the Ouachita Mountains bring hills and rock, and lowlands across the south and east, where the Delta and the southern timber country sit on clay, sand and gravel.

Little Rock, Conway and Jonesboro sit on the interstate network, so a delivery in town comes down to the site itself: the straight run, the overhead clearance and the ground at the drop spot. Away from the cities, the route matters as much as the site. Ozark and Ouachita drives climb and curve under tree cover, while Delta field roads and south Arkansas timber roads can stay soft after heavy rain.

What to Plan Around in Arkansas

Some Arkansas clays shrink and swell as their moisture changes. The Arkansas Geological Survey names the Porters Creek Clay as highly expansive, in a belt from just south of Hope to near Arkadelphia and in patches from Malvern to near Batesville. A container set on ground like that can settle unevenly at the corners.

  • ✓ Level, firm ground under all four corners
  • ✓ Drainage that carries water away from the container
  • ✓ Unpaved access to farm, ranch and acreage sites
  • ✓ HOA covenants, deed restrictions and local permit questions
  • ✓ Access at job sites, plants and other working sites
  • ✓ Driveway width and overhead clearance on the truck's route
